Über uns

Cyclize, ein Spin-off der Universität Stuttgart, defossilisiert die chemische Industrie durch die Nutzung von gemischten Kunststoffabfällen und CO2 als Ressourcen, um Synthesegas (ein Gasgemisch aus Kohlenmonoxid und Wasserstoff) herzustellen. Dieses Synthesegas dient als Grundbaustein für höherwertige Chemikalien und wird zur Herstellung von Kunststoffen, Methanol, Wasserstoff und E-Fuels verwendet. Bislang wird Synthesegas immer noch durch die lineare Nutzung fossiler Ressourcen wie Erdgas gewonnen. Unser innovatives plasmabasiertes Verfahren ermöglicht es uns, fossile Ressourcen durch Abfallstoffe zu ersetzen. Damit ermöglichen wir die Kohlenstoff-Kreislaufwirtschaft und vermeiden bis 2050 jährlich Hunderte von Megatonnen CO2-Emissionen.

Your profile

Active studies (Bachelor/Master)
Experience in PCB Design
Good speaking and writing skills in English
Ability to work in a Team, self-responsibility and idependence
Ideally the desire to support us in the long term

About us

Cyclize, a spin-off of the University of Stuttgart, defossilizes the chemical industry using mixed plastic waste and CO2 as feedstock to produce syngas (a gas mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen). This syngas serves as the basic building block of advanced chemicals and is used to produce plastics, methanol, hydrogen and e-fuels. As of now, syngas is still obtained through the linear use of fossil resources such as natural gas. Our innovative plasma-based process allows us to replace fossil resources with waste materials, thus enabling the carbon circular economy and avoiding hundreds of megatons of CO2 annually by 2050.
